Coronation Street businesswoman Carla Barlow (Alison King) is to suffer a miscarriage in scenes to be aired next week.
Tragedy befalls the Underworld boss as she attempts to come to terms with her husband Peter Barlow’s (Chris Gascoyne) affair with Tina McIntyre (Michelle Keegan) as well as being a suspect in Tina’s murder.
After intervening in a row between her brother Rob Donovan (Marc Baylis) and Peter at a bus stop, Carla doubles over in pain and is rushed to hospital where doctors inform her that she has lost the baby.
Michelle Connor (Kym Marsh) and Rob agree to run the factory for Carla whilst she recovers but when Peter turns up telling them he owns half of the business, how will they react?
Tina is pushed from the balcony of Jason Grimshaw’s (Ryan Thomas) builders yard during tonight’s episode following a confrontation with either Peter, Carla or Rob. The barmaid is rushed to hospital following the fall where she eventually loses her fight for life on Monday 2 June.
Rob’s fiancée Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) was originally a fourth suspect before bosses ruled her out via a quiz on the show’s official website. The quiz entitled ‘Can you eliminate a suspect?’ asks players to answer a series of questions – a score of 100% leads to Tracy being eliminated from the official suspects.
Coronation Street continues tonight at 9.00pm on ITV.
